SYDNEY, April 9
The collier Austral shipped a heavy sea and took a strong list. The captain made a couple of futile attempts to enter Broken Bay. The list xvas then so had that the men took to the boat. Til© collier foundered two minutes after. A fireman named AleGuinness .is missing. », McGuinness was drowned when one of tiie Austral’s boats capsized as she foundered. The captain and mate in the other boat rescued the others with difficulty.
