I To the Editor.] Sir,—-As one of the many who very willingly parted with a few modest shillings for the benefit of the nurses of our Public Hospital, I wish td voice publicly my extreme dissatisfaction with the short financial statement,, recently published in your columns in connection with the Pandora’s Bojc dance. Ostensibly this was arranged wholly for an object that w'ak/ ’tfielL worthy of public support and sympathy; in reality, it seems that only half the nett proceeds have been devoted thereto. .

"'*■ 1 Sir, —With reference to the Pandora’s Box dance recital, can you give me information on the following/(l) "Wajithe entertainment advertised as ‘‘in’, aid „df the Nurses’ Fund” or as ‘'partly in aid of?” (2) What’ were the,, items’ that made up the total,of £52 odd expenses? (3) Was there an Act passed sortie years ago dealing with the advertising of entertainments as in aid of charity?
