! The local committee has been very busy this season preparing the ground for the event, and visitors should find considerable improvements. The clubhouse has been extended and made residential The Links will bo at the entire disposal of the tournament committee. The dining-room of the clubhouse will be turned into a lounge and catering will be done in largo marquee adjoining. The long-continued spell of frosts and surtny days has made the greens particularly keen ,and a few showers before opening day would be appreciated.
