LITTLE GIRL INJURED
DAUGHTER OF MR. GIRLING, M.P.

WELLINGTON, This Day Laura Girling, the six-year-old daughter of Mr Girling, M.P. for Wairau, is in hospital in a serious condition as tlie result of:' injuries she sustained at Lyall Bay yesterday afternoon. It is stated that the child was travelling in a Lyall Bay bound car and, when nearing Hie final: stop, moved to the footboard and before the tram came to a standstill fell on to the road. A wheel passed over One leg. At 3.30 p.m. she was admitted to the hospital suffering from a fractured leg and shock. Her condition is reported to be still serious.
