BACHELOR DINNERS

Lady Elizabeth last night gave a, bachelor dinner privately at Claridge's to tho bridesmaids and otlijer girl friends of the Duke of York, who was the only man present. Afterwards a party of twenty'went to the hippodrome to the revue '"'Brighter London," Lady Elizabeth wearing a simple green dress. The Duke of York's bachelor party will be held to-night. THE HONEYMOON LONDON, April 24. The Duke of York's honeymoon will be spent in a lovely mansion at Leatherhead, lent by the Hon. Mrs Ronald Grcville. The 'house is in a most beautiful part of Surrey and stands at the top of undulating park land. Its gardens are a blaze of colour and spring flowers.

The Duke of York and Lady Bowes Lyon attended a private rehearsal of their wedding this evening. The bridesmaids were present. The Dean of Westminster took the couple through the service ceremonial. , WONDERFUL WEDDING CAKE LONDON, April 21 Tho wedding cake is nine feet high in four tiers, and weighs 800 pounds. On the lower tier are six delicately wrought sugar lace cupolas forming the cake into six panels. Five bear sugar plaques representing love, and the sixth bears a silken plaque wheron is the coat of arms representing tho union of both houses. When the bride cuts the cake she will insert the blade under this, enabling the container to be removed by a silk ribbon. This contains gold cake charms —a, ring, thimble, horse shoe, donkey, goose, and three penny pieces. The second tier is a representation of a balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet. The surmounting cake is a hexagonal bowl borne by eupids, and other cupids are poised on the bowl distributing 'flowers. The bowl is supported by a silver stand, at each corner of which is a lion rampant.

INVITATION TO NEW ZEAL ANDERS
