At the Grand Orange l*'dge the. election of officers resulted:—J- MacDonald Johnston, Grand Master; Rev. O. K. Aitken, G.D.M. j Rev. T. B. Wooloxnll, Grand Chaplain ;’E. N. Budden, Grand sccretarv; J. McFarlane, Grand treasurer; Geo. Taylor, Grand foreman of committee; ML 11. Gibbery, director of ceremonies. Grand committeemen elected: Bros. McKenzie Steptoe, Smithcrs, Ross, Davidson ; Grand executive committee, P.G.M.’s A. Noble, G. Pethenck, J. W. Patton, A. Donald, J. Middleton. Tt was resolved that, the Loyal Orange Lodge undertake more vigorous educational work in the interests of Orangeism and calls on all ledges to take up the discussion of public questions affecting the supremacy of Protestant principles in the life, of the nation, especially where endangered hv tho claims and activity of the Roman Church ; further, that tiie incoming Grand executive consider the appointment of a lecturer on Protestant principles and Protestant his lory.
