TIDAL ABNORMALITIES
REPORTED FROM TIMARU
(United .Press. Association.)
WELLINGTON, This Day
With reference to a Timaru report of tidal abnormalities, Dr. Adams states that there are indications of interesting movements in Wellington, but owing to the position of the harbour, effects are less' likely here than on more exposed coast. The whole matter is being gone into systematically. Tiday waves as previously observed travelled across the ocean at about 400 miles an hour, so that they should have reached New Zealand from Chili within twelve hours.
