DROP IN FOOD PRICES
(United Press Association.)
WELLINGTON, This Day,
Mr Justice Frazer stated in the Arbitration Court that the outstanding feature in the latest statistics was the drop la the food groups to the 1918 figures. He thought there would be a continued fall for the next six months. Other Items were not coming down. Rents were rising, due, not to the cost of houses, but to the scarcity. Subsequently, in discussing women workers’ representations Mr Justice Frazer said lie would like more figures relating to hoard, which # it was difficult to get. Some rents charged for single rooms were a scandal, a regular swindle in some cases. *
