The number of factories in New South Wales at the cud of !:*-l vein was 10,087, an increase of 342 mi the p-evious year. The number of employees 1 £2,334, however, showed a decrease of 3361.
The Federal election campaign is becoming active. A plethora of candidates comprises Nationalists, Liberals, Country Party, Labour and the Catts majority of the Labour section. Major-General Lcgge, in a report, on Duntroon, states that the outstanding event of the year was the decision of N-w Zealand Government not to send any more rrulets to the college, and wiilidiawnu; tliose actually doing the course.
Stocks reiuris show that horses in the State at the end of 1921 totalled 525,431; cattle. 3,251.000: sheep. 34.776.000.
