ACCIDENT AT TADMOR
TRAP OVERTURNS
Whilst 'returning from the Tapawera cricket match on Saturday, Sir W. Thomas, A. Biggs and two other Sherry players, who were riding home in a trap met with a mishap. The horse shied, apparently at a passing motor cycle, and the trap left the roadway and completely overturned in the ditch alongside the road, pinning Mr Thomas underneath the vehicle. He was dragged along for several yards, until one of the other previous occupants, who had been fortunately thrown clear, managed to grasp the horse's bridle. The Motupiko-Korere cricketers who were also returning home happened to see the accident about 100 yards ahead and stopped their car' and rendered what assistance they could. Mr Thomas was badly bruised .and no doubt suffering from the shock." The others seemed little thj: worse for their upset, and after repairing broken harness and trap t'.ey were able to proceed upon 1 * their homeward journey.
