NELSON GOLF CLUB
EASTER. TOURNAMENT The Nelson Provincial Golf Cham pionship Tournament will he held, at ihe Nelson Golf Club’s Links at Ta lumanui during Easter. The principal event is the Nelson Provincial Amateur Championship, which will extend over three days. In addition there will be a 36 and 18-holes medal handicap, >wo bogov handicaps, ayd a four-ball (best ball) bogey handicap. The course is. in splendid condition* and groat praise for this is dne tho groundsman (Mr Gardiner) for the way he has carried out the extra work. Several improvements, such aa new holes, tees, and bunkers have bben made, and with some of the holes lengthened tho, course is new practically a championship one. In addition to the local entries some dozen Wellington players have .entered for the tournament, which brings the total entries up to .40. The comnn’t+eo have made arrangements for luncheon and afternoon tea to be served at the Club House, and a motor ’bua service to and from the Links each day.
