RAIN IN AUSTRALIA
EFFECT ON. STOCK MARKET (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Australian & N.Z. Cable Association). • SYDNEY, June 15. For many months the Homebusk market was overcrowded with stock from the droughtstricken areas. Amongst other offerings were ninny thousand breeding ewes and young wethers, which sold at sacrifice prices. With the coming of rain,-however, the position has'completely altered and there is a great demand for’ re-stocking purposes. This caused prices to rocket, and largely depleted the ‘ market for mutton supply. In a lesser degree the cattle market has been similarly affected.
