AN ARTILLERYMAN KILLED
STRUCK BY A MOTOR-BUS A fatal accident occurred at Dev on port, when Sydney Evelyn Wright, a sergeant-major artificer, in the Royal New Zealand Artillery, was knocked down by a motor-bus in Vauxhall Road, receiving injuries from which he died a few minutes later. Scrgt,Major Wright, who resided at 27, Vauxhall Road, was on his way to visit his wife, who is an _ inmate of the Auckland Hospital, and while crossing the road to catch a motor-bus was struck by another bus in the opposite direction, ft is stated that in falling he struck the back of his head, being rendered unconscious, in wliicli condition he died. Sergt.Major 'Wright, who was 48 years of age, and had been a member of the Royal New Zealand• Artillery for 24 years, leaves a widow and three children.
