SOUTH AFRICAN MINERS
NATIVES’ UNREST (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.' (United Service; (Hee. Feb. 21, 10 a.m.) JOHANNESBURG Feb. 18. Mine natives have- latterly been showing unrest. The strike at the Bast Rand Proprietary has now spread to seven mines, involving 33,000 natives, who have been told that if they keep quiet they will be repatriated and cannot be given more wages. A large force of police is stationed in the affected areas maintaining order.
