WAR MEMORIAL

A SYSTEMATIC CANVASS

A beginning has been made with the collection of funds'for the erection of a War Memorial in Nelson. The executive of the committee in whose hands the matter has been placed for the present are now canvassing the business area and iu the course of ten days or a fortnight collectors will, wait upon \ residents in other parts of the city. After some discussion the main idea of the memorial has been agreed upon.
