FATHER O’DONNELL’S CASE. (By, Electric Telegraph—Copyright; (Australian & N.J4. Cable Association; LONDON, Nov. 5. The witnesses in the O’Donnell case have not arrived, and the inquiry has been adjourned. - LONDON, Nov. 6. Father O’Donnell informs the Australian Pres s Association 1 that he has cabled to Mr Hughes a®_ follow®: “Preliminary private investigation is proceeding. I have met the chief accuser and mangled him, and am waiting for the others. , I am relying on you absolutely for an opportunity for the fullest public vindication'. Thank Ood for the good old Diggers who saved Australia from Prussianism. Stick to them.”' (Rec. Nov. 10, 9.20 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 7. Owing to the non-appearance of witnesses -the O’Donnell inquiry , was again adjourned'. The Australian authorities have protested against, the War- Office not keeping it promise .to make he witnesses available.
