LONDON, April 30.
The progress of British shipbuilding in the first complete quarter of the year since the war is shown in Lloyd s Register at the end of March. There were 2,254,845 tons being constructed in the United Kingdom. World wide construction, excluding belligerents, was 779.266 tons.OOff f tonnage abroad. 76 per cent, was building in the United States and 303,088 tons were building in the British Dominions. The next leading shipbuilders arc Japan and Holland.
