FREMASONRY.
FOREST LODGE. The installation of Bro. L. 0. Eaigent, W..M.-elect of Forest Lodge, No. 116, took place in the Masonic Hall, Wakefield, last evening, when there was a large attendance of brethren. In the unavoidable absence of R.W, Bro. C. H, Mills, Provincial Grand Master of the Nelson and Marlborough districts, the ceremony was performed by R. W. Bro. W. Moyes, P.P.G.M., assisted by Wor. Bros. J. A. Orsman, W. Mclnnes, W. Thorn, J. R. Gaukrodge, R. W. Stiles, E. Dimant, T. D. Milne, and J. L. Cliing. Wor Bro W D Cowin acted as Director of Ceremonies, and Bro. A. , G. Thompson presided) at the organ. The following officers were duly investedl.P.M., Wor. Bro. J. R. Gaukrodgerj S.W., Bro. V. N. Granville; J..W., Bro, W, R. Noake; secretary, Wor. Bro, H, Franklyn; treasurer, Wor. Bro. H. C. Fitzsimmons; chaplain, Wor. Bro. W. Thorn; D. of C., Wor. Bro. W Cowin; S.D., Bro. L. McGowan; J.D., Bro. W. Max; 1.G., Bro. |W. J. Taylor; tyler, Wor. Bro. W. G. 1 Syder; stewards, Bros, H. Tunniciiffc and JA. Phelan. During the evening a collection was taken up for the Widows andi Orphans and Aged Masons’ Fund. Following the ceremony the brethren sat down to a cold 1 collation, after which a number of toasts were honoured and a pleasant hour spent in harmony.
