New Zealanders on furlough from Cologne declare that, the general air of prosperity in Cologne confirms the solconviction that Germany was beaten in the field 1 . All the big restaurants arc open, with orchestras equal to anything heard in Londbn. Food is plentiful jind cheap. The New Zealanders find the Germans j deeply respectful.
