STERN ELECTION STRUGGLES
RIOTS IN THE PROVINCES.

(Rec. Jan. 22, 9 a.m.) AMSTERDAM, Jan. 19. Berlin Is in the midst of a stern election^fdruggle. Airmen are bombarding the city with pamphlets from all parties. There are grave election riots in many parts of the country. Owing (to the deaths of Liebknecht and Luxembourg, the mob at Leipzig declared a general strike and destroyed the election bureau, and forced the Government" newspapers to publish apologies for the murders and admit that the Government, was to blame.
