PALMERSTON N.> Jan. 21. At the sale of Air. E. Short’s stud and flock Romneys to-day, 700 sheep wore sold. Stud rams varied from flgus to 13gns, and better classes from 40g.ns to 60gns. £he highest price was 124gns, paid by_R. Tanner (Gisborne). Other high prices'lvero paid by tho following :—W. Jolinston (Papatoetoe) 102 gns; H. A. Waldegrave (Palmerston), 101 gns; P. Neilson (Tiakitahuna), 100 gns; Hunt Bros. (Nelson), QOgns; J. Blair (Hawera), 81gs. Flocks ragged from 3gne to 7gns, and better sorts lOgs to Migns; ewes sgns to 7gns.
