HORTICULTURAL show.

A meeting of the above was held m the Stoke Public Hall on Monday evening when Mr A. P- Allport- was appointed! chairmian. Y* Allport, vegetable section Messrs J- Biggar and fiddly man, sections 7 and 6, Mrs HOhing and Mrs J. Biggar,' sections-’ 9 and 10, Mrs Scott and Miss Allpnti, . These committees are to report, Jo the general committee on Wednesday, 29th January. . A letter was Received from' Mrs Wood offering the help *of the Stoke Red Cross Society. The secretary was instructed to write to ; Mre‘'Wood, ,iaccepting her offer with thanks and. asking her to arrange with, her society t to take charge, of the afternoon tea and refreshments and also the lollie stall.

A building committee was appeipted consisting of the hall 'committee with the addition of Mr viz, Messrs H. Ching, J. Ching, Sat* ton, J. Blggar, W. Kenning and W. Condell. 'i It was proposed that any person donating 10s to the prizeufund be given complimentary tickets to the family of father, mother and .children under 14. It was proposed that .the show of held on Friday and Saturday, 11th and 12th of April, 1919. ; ; ’ . Mr James Ching was 'appointed as guessing competition steward': foj Saturday afternoon, ~ Mr Jellymian suggested, repif and souvenir* -of the.jwar gathered and interesting display. The room was cahvassed and the following prizes were donated; Mr T. Heath 6s for best Stunners and 6a for best Jonathans j Mr Ji Ohing tOs jo the domestic section. Mr A.V. A committee was appointed to canvass the district ,for special prizes and for the prize fund.
