RETURNED SOLDIERS' LUNCHEON
PROGRESS OF ARRANGEMENTS.
The committee in. charge of the arrangements for the returned eoldieiV luncheon on the First Monday in August me't at the Council Chambers last "evening, the Ma.yor presiding. •Mr EL J. Harris reported that offers of provisions for the luncheon were cominig in well. . The chairman stated that it was veryprobable that Sir Jas. A Hep would come to Nelson for the occasion. ■ It was therefore decided to postpone the drawng up of the programme till it was definitely known whether . the .Minister would be present or not. • - It was resolved to ask Captain. Collins to superintend the decorations at the Provincial Hall. It was stated that no intoxicating liquor woidd be supplied at the luncheon.
Mr N. Vercoe said he knew the addresses of over 300 returned men.
Invitations will be sent to every returned man who can be got in touch with. ~
