DUNEDIN FRUIT 1 AND T>RODUS« MARKETS.

'i Messrs "Bray Bros'ifof Dunedin) Ltd. report as follows for the week ending July 6th, 1918, on the Dunedin Fruit and iProdude market:—-

Fruit.—Large consignments of dessert and cooking, apples have arrived during the) past, week and values are easier compared with those ruling last week.

Onions. —The onion market has firmed and. has advanced about £2 per ton during the past few days. Values in Canterbury are very high, and with Melbourne onions quoted at £ls per ton, which means they would cost in tOie vicinity of £l9 10s landed'at Dunedin, there nrust 'be a further rise in values.

: . -Potatoes. —The market shows an upwand',..tendency and good' prime lines are- -readily placed at quotations. Medium and inferior lines are not meeting with a ready sale. _ Chaff.—Very firm. The bulk of the line's coming forward are light or discoloured, and prime lines are readily picked up. Oats.—All lines are in short plyPoultry is in short supply and good tabjle.
