HELPING HAND SHOP. The taking" of the Helping Hand Shop amounted to £3l 2s 6d, and the Red Cross Fund benefits to thaJt extent. <of. this amount- £2 16b was reserved by donations. The experiisf • were 14s 2d. The cooking apron con;petition was not so well contested an the committee would have liked. The work sent in was excellent]. The prize was given by Mrs Robison, and l was won by Miss Baird. Contributions were received from Wakapuaka, At;iwliai, Ennerglyn>, College girls, Broqkstree.t, Girls' Central (F'ourth Sta.;idard), and Boys' Central Schools., ;t!):i'e Port, and the city. The committee fcliank the Wakefield resident who sr'nit in a number of hares, which found a ready sale ,-also all the ladies both at Tahuraanui 1 and in the city whoee tuj.'n it was to give and who gave so liberally.
