Beforo Mr Justice Hosking to-day Micliael Roughan, Simon■'-McGrath and James Egan were charged with assaulting the Rev. Frederick fStockwell at, Feilding on .February 20th, doing him grievous bodily harm. Evidence was given that at the conclusion of a _Protestant 'Political Association meeting a crowd followed Mr Stockwell and other clergymen alomr the street, and eventually Mr Stockwell was violently assauted' and received •' juries from which he is still suffering.
