TRADE COMMISSIONER TO 'REPORT.

WELLINGTON, Feb. 28.
His Majesty's Trade Commissioner in New Zealand, slr R. W. DaTton, has received instructions from the Imperial Government to proceed to the Pacific Islands for the purpose of making an investigation into their present commercial position and future trade prospects, and expects to leave for Suva early in April.
