GILBERT WALKER GUILTY OF t DESERTION. •' (UNITED PRKSS At-SOCIATION.A AUCKLAND, Nov. 1. • 'The verdict wag announced to-day by the court-martial which tried Gilbert , -Walter oh -two charges of disobedience -of- lawful commands by Tailing to report for medical examination, and a ;third charge of desertion. Accused was "'acquitted on the charges-of disobedience • and found guilty on that of desertion. "Walker was drawn in the ballot on Jan- ••• nary 12, and wae arrested on Oct. 8 on a lonely farm in the Waikato. -
