VICTORY ROYAL ARCH CHAPTER The 25th anniversary of Victory Roval Arch Chanter, No. 12, was celebrated at the Masonic Hall yesterday. Messages conveying apologies for absence but congratulating the Chapter on the attainment of its 25th anniversary were received from M:E. Comp. M. J. Harris, Grand Z., Paeroa; R.E. Comp. J. Moncrief, G.H., Carterton; R.E. Comp. T. Hobson, G.J., Napier; M.E. Come H. J. Williams, G.S.E., Wellington"; and V.E. Comp. Warnes. P.Z., Grevmouth. The Trafalgar (S.C., and Marlborough (N.Z.C.) sister Chapters were represented. Congratulations were received from Victoria Chapter, Napier, Albert Edward Chapter, Lyttelton, and Waterloo, Wellington. M.E. Uomp. T. Porritt, Grand Superintendent of the Wellington District, assisted by Chapter Past Principals, conducted the investiture and installation of E. Comp. A. W. Oxley as First Principal, and V.E. Comp. S. F. Bolton and E. Comp L. Reynolds as Second and Third Principals respectively. The addresses to the Principals were delivered by M.E. Comp. T. Porritt, who also conducted the investiture of officers. These were invested as follows : —By V.E. Comp. S. F. Bolton: Scribe E., V.E. Comp. R. W. Stiles; Scribe N., V.E. Comp. A. E. Cresswell; Treasurer, V.E. Comp. B.H. Moller; Superintendent of Works, V.E. Comp. C. B. Harton; Organist, E. Comp. G. A. Edmonds. By V.E. Comp. J. L. Ching: Ist So]., E. Comp. C. M. Whelan;. 2nd Soj., E. Comp. A. G. Shrimpton; 3rd Soi., E. Conro. H. H. Edwards; Ist Steward, E. Comp. F. A. Thompson; 2nd Steward, E. Comp. O. W. Moore. At the conclusion of a very successful ceremony, a banquet was held, when V.E. Comp. W. Moyes narrated the history of the Chapter, covering a period of 25 years. The newly installed First Principal, V.E. Comp. A .W. Oxley, was- presented with a Mark jewel. A number of loyal and Masonic toasts were honoured, and musical and other items were contributed by Comps. T. Houlker, S. F. Bolton, C. B. Harton, H. H. Edwards, and C. M. Wheian.
