■SITTING- AT NELSON.

The 'Canterbury Military Service Board continued its sitting at the Courfhouse on Saturday afternoon. Lawrence Thomason, Wai-iti (Mr TL Cheek) appeared on the ground of undue, hardship. Appellant said ho was working his mother's land. There were .six acres of orchard and six cows. One brother had been killed in action and another had been wounded. First Wellington Military Service 'Board to-day Captain Walker (military representative) suggested that in view of the "approaching dairy season all appeals adjourned sine die should be considered by August. The chairman agreed to the suggestion, and said that he would endeavour to have these appeals brought before the board as early as possible.
