FIRE ON THE WAIKAWA
■♦■ . AN EXTRAOEDINAHY OOINCL•DiENiCE. (Renter's Telegrams.) VANCOUVER, Nov. 15. The Waikawa is on fire in dock here io-nrgbt. The circumstances are similar to the Waimarino's outbreak, i After a three hours' fight the WaiSwrwa's fire was got under control. J* hundred tons of copra were ruined, the loss being estimated at £2OOO. The mystery is increased by the fact that the copra had been lifted from the after hold to a position 'tween decks. Spontaneous combustion is doubted. The other cargo was not injured. The loss of the copra cargo of the Waimarino is estimated at £54C00. An investigation of the remarkable coincidence is proceeding.
