INCIDENT AT GLENHOPE
The youth John Andrew McWilHara, who escaped from Ntelson Gaol last'Sundayi, . was , captured by •Constable 1 ->zsimmons at Glenhope on Tuesday.:; -*o had taken a bicycle from Brightwaotr, and was apparently, maki-ofe ■■■.hi- y>&? t0 the West Coast. On Tuesday he was locked in a room at Glenkope, .the constable removing his clothes as' a PJ e " cautionary measure against escip_e, ■ McWilliam, however, during the "night .got through the window and escaped,.haired, but was located soon afterwards "in # whare about a mile away, 'McWilliam is an inmate . of the Stoke' Training. Farm. He absconded at.the beginning of last week, and was 1 captured at'Havelock. Ho was placed in .■..the ■ Nelson Gaol, from which he escaped last Sunday. McWilliam will appear before the Court to-morrow. _ Mc.villiams was brought before Mr F W. Fairey. J.P., this morning, and charged with tho theft, on the 6th inst., o~ two pea rifles the property, of W. Thompson, of Wakapuaka.t . -v Barrett asked for a remand till to-morrow morning, when another J ad, William J. Vickery, who escape* from tho Stoke Training Farm, with McWUliams, will appear,on a similar charge.
