SHOOTS AT AEROPLANE. A MISS RECORDED. A Stockholm correspondent relates the following stories regarding a recent visit of the Kaiser to the eastern front: — On the way buck to Knovo from Doschedari (a small town on the Petrograd railway) the Kaiser's train was de-ij-ed seven hours owing to a breakdown on the line, ostensibly due to floods but suspected to have been due to intentional interruption of the railway drainage system. An inquiry was held on the spot, and many villagers questioned, but nothing was discovered for certain. The Kaiser motored to a hill near Kovno fromi wh : ch Napoleon is said to have watched: his Grand Armv crossing the Nieman in June, 1812. The Kaiser climbed the hill with his staff, and had pointed out to him the places where the French first crossed. The Kaiser talked to Bavarian soldiers in their own dialect, and further, during a visit to the townlet of to the north, tried his small stock of Russian on local workmen, but was not understood, and could not understand. He is said to have been in good health, but to have looked anxious. During his visit the Russian offensive was causing much anxiety. \n hour before he left th e town a Russian reconnoitring aeroplane flew.over it, but no bombs were thrown. The Kaiser stood beside the gun which bombarded the Russian, and; himself fired a shot, but hit nothing.
