T'he war anniversary was marked by a few minutes' cessation of activity at noon, when the ships in port -blew their syrens. An optimistic note was characteristic of the speeches at the various meetings, each of which recorded its inflexible determination to carry on the war to a victorious end. AUSTRALIAN CASUALTY LIST.
