The House of Commons passed the second reading of the War Charities Bill, providing" for compulsory registration and administration by a. responsible, comimjtte-e, the accounts to be audited. ANOTHER LINER SUNK. VESSEL UNARMED. 'Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Rec. Aug. 4, 8.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, Aug. 3. It ,is announced to-day that the liner Britannic has been sunk. The vessel was unarmed. (Rec. Aug. 4 1.55 p.m.) NEW YORK, Aug. 3. The Britannic was owned by the Cocker Line and was of 3487 tons.
