YOUNG MEN'S INSTITUTE AND GYMNASIUM
There was a good attendance of yo«n-» men at All Saints' Schoolroom last evening, when it was decided to form in insitute and gymnasium. The vicar (Rev. J. A. Rogers) occupied the chair, •nd briefly outlined the scheme. The •lub will be undenominational, and any voung men may join with the approval ■f the committee. It is understood that \lr H. Hurst will be offered the posiion of instructor. Each member will be ■harged a small subscription, for membership All Saints' gymnasium is wet! uiown, and with a few pounds spent on .he apparatus the appointments will be "irst -class. At the conclusion- of 'the meeting seeral of those present adjourned' to the rvmnasium, and some of the old-timers, sianv of whom have not done any "gyni" for over twelve years, again Wretched their muscles. Although th--eason is late, this offers a, splendid ■banco for any young man- who niav vish to enter" upon a course of physical raining, the importance of which at the \resent 4 time is the main reason for thr re-forming of the Institute. Another neeting is to be held oit Monday evenacr, and a committee and' officers will ■e 3 elected before the work of the inst-i----ute commences.
