Sir Douglas lilaijr reports that our troops have made further progress in the neighbourhood of Puzieres. The battle on the rest of the front from Pozieres to Guilleinont continue with immense violence. BELGIAN ACTIVITY. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Rec. Julv 24. 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, July 23. A Belgian communique says that artillery a'_:d trench engines during the past week continued a destructive fire jn the German trenches, especially upon D'am and 'Hetsas, with the best result.
