BAPTIST CHURCH
ANNIVERSARY SERVICE. The sixty-sixth anniversary of the Nelson Baptist Church was celebrated yesterday. The morning- service -was conducted by theSßev. W- S. Fernie, at present supplying the Congregational Church. The speaker spoke from the words "Called to-the Saints." ~ In tlie afternoon the Rev. W. S. Strong, of China, gave an interesting address on missionary -work in- China. The evening service was conducted by-the pastor of the church {Rev. W. E. iAmbert). who based bis sermon on the message to the Church a Philadelphia. The choir rendered several '-musical items, MrEmmett conducting, and Mr E. Wood presiding at the organ. The inclement weather interfered with the attendance. On , Wednesday evening the. /anniversary celebrations will be -continued, when a social will be held, to which all interested are cordially, invited*. .
