A tragedy is reported at Fitzroy. A man named Raymond Victor Dawson irave hismelf -up to the police and conjessed that he had fatally shot Vera May" Parks Dawson. He avers that the woman stayed with him a night. In the morning he followed her into the kitchen, carrying a supposedly unloaded revolver. He'"jokingly .said he would -shoot the woman, -who replied that he could not shoot a -worm. He jestingly levelled thc revolver and pulled the trigger when the revolver went off, killing the woman. JDawson was arrested, charged with murder.
