WEDDING

A very pretty wedding was solemnised in the Onurch of the Epiphany, Takaka, on 29th December, the contracting parties being Mr Arthur Fairwea'ther,' Nelson, and Miss Amy Robinson, second daughter of Mr and -irs A. Robinson, Hamama, Takaka. The Rev. <]» F. iDanes officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dress of ivory charmeuse with veil and orange blossbfn wreath. The bridesmaid, Robinson, sister df the bride, was dressed in white embroidered voile with saxe satin tunic and a'white chiffon hat. Both bride and bridesmaid carried handsome •bouquets. Mrs Robinson, mother of the bride, wore a dress of black l silk and; a •black and white hat. Mr E., B. Jackson, Nelson, attended the bridegroom as best man. The church >was .well filled with friends and relatives. Ther bridal party was heavily showered with rice and* confetti as they, made _their way from the church door to waiting motors, .which' -conveyed th'em to the residence of the bride's parents, (where iabout .40 guests partook of a sumptuous wedding, breakfast. D-uring the reception .the usual toasts, were honoured, and, a ipilo of congratulatory telegrams, read. . The young-couple, who 'were the recipients of a large number of valuable and useful presents, including several, cheques, left for Nelson by -boat- the following day, the bride wearing a smar.t tailored costume of navy .blue and- an -aerophone hat.
