NELSON POULTRY ASSOCIATION
ANNUAL SHOW. The Nelson Poultry Association's annual show was brought to a close on Saturday, when there was again a large attendance. The Citizens' Band. played a selection or two. A number of gifts had been donated for the benefit of the Belgian and lied Cross- Funds, and these realised' about • £2O. Tht donors were MessTs W. Laird,'leghorns; E. B. Martin, parrot audi magpie pigeons; J.'. C. Mackay, cabinet; J. Beattie, Canaries; L. Tutbury, brown leghorns; J. A. Stringer, canaries; Bernard North, buff orpington drake; Wearing Bros., bantams; Hockey Bros., pigeons; F. .Cook, bantams; W. G. Hammond, brown leghorns ; Misses H, and R.. Sowman, minbrcas; E P.. Cook, Hamburgs; Mr J. Blundell, buff orpingtons; Mrs' Blick, •mule; Messrs Les. Ruffell, leghorns; G. Jennens, parrot; K. Kidson mule; P. Berthelson, canaries; Hockey and Sohofield, pigeons; J. Goer, pigeon; and F. Gibbons, Langshans. Mesdames Laird aud' Plum and. children raised lis3d' by the sale of buttonholes.
