KNOCKED'DOWN BY A TRAIN. (CTnited Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH; March 30. James Anderson, aged 52, of Andrewstreet, Sydenham, employed at the gasworks ? ' was knocked down by a train while Aossing the railway line at the Waltham road crossing this morning. He received injuries to his log and hip. CHILD DROWNED IN A WATER HOLE. DUNEDIN, March 30. The young daughter of Wm. Adam, jun., farmer, of -Otokea, was found drowned- in a water-hole shortly .'.before 6 o'clock last night. It seems than the child, who. was two and a-half years of age, sfaayed from the house., while .milking, was in progress, and fell . into the hole, being found drowned twenty minutes after she was last seen about the house. At the inquest a verdict of accidentally, drowned was returned,
