richmond. ViALEDICTOjRY. (From Our Own Correspondent,) Miss. Hewlett, second assistant at the Richmond School, who is leaving to enter, the service of the Auckland tion . Board, was.-, entertained at theSchool on Tuesday afternoon, when .she, was presented by, the .School -Committee and staff with a travelling, rug. The pre-? sentation was made by the chairman, Mr J. Hunt, who referred at length to Miss Hewlett's good -. qualities. Appreciation of 'Ker-work was also expressed by the head master, Mr -Boyce, and 'by the members of tlie Committee present, Messrs W. D. iHarkness and H. Crouch-
Earlier in the day the pupils had also presented their teacher with a token of their esteem, while Miss Hewlett's services apart from the school were last week suitably acknowledged 'by the Anglican Church, and the Sowers' Band.
