In the House of Commons, Mr Arthur Lynch questioned Mr Harcourt, Colonial on the. Tasmanian situation. He suggested that an important document had been withheld, and asked whether Sir Ellison Macartney had marked an official communication "confidential?" <$ Mr Harcourt replied that the documents had not arrived, and he had no reason to suppose that" when they were received they would not place him in full possession of the facts. He had no information regarding Sir Ellison Macartney's alleged action. He had been in telegraphic communication with Sir Ellison'Macartney, Isut with nobody else.
