READJUSTMENT IN TAXATION. (Py.ltSC ASSOCIATION. —COPYRIGHT). (Rec. Mav 5, 10.55 a.m.) * LONDON, May 4. The Budget estimate of the revenue is £200,655,000, and the expenditure £205,985,000. Another four millions is required to assist local authorities. It is proposed' to raise nine millions "by addtional tax on incomes over £IOOO, ranging from 10£ d to 16d up to £3OOO, while the supertax limit is to be lowered to £3OOO. The readjustments will yield millions, and the supertax 2Jj millions. Death duties will he increased on estates of over £60,000, yielding £600,000. Capital invested abroad will be taxed yielding .£250,000. The balance of the deficit will bo taken from sinking funds.
