A fire at the " Murchison Dairy Company's factory broke out about 5.30 p.m. yesterday. All hands had left off work, and the manager was at tea v. hen the alarm Avas given. A good number ct willing workers were soon on the and succeeded in quenching the ttre. One voting lady rushed down town on a bicvcle and gave the alarm ; and a number of helpers were soon on the roof and stripped the iron off and saved the factorv from being demolished. lhe fire originated on t7ie rooT""unrfrjrs over the boiler.
