DANNEVIRKE. March 5.
The Dannevirke Jockey Club's autumn meeting- concluded to-day- under favourable conditions. The weather was fine, and there was a large attendance. F. Meagher, rider of Stockade in the Second Hurdles, was fined £5 for misconduct at the post. An inquiry into Berry's riding of Orleans in the Mangatara Hack Welter resulted in a severe caution. The results were as follows : Hack Scurry : New York 1, Vladinean 2, Tehuhuti 3. Mangatera Hack Welter: Ladify 1, Orleans 2, Whakahoki 3. Juvenile Handicap : Tavistock 1, Indigo 2, Elevonia 3. Autumn Handicap : Hiwitapu 1, Trieze 2, Mescal 3. Second Hack Handicap Hurdles : Ohaku 1, Master Malachi 2, Muscadine 3. Telephone Hack : Bonus 1, Microbe 2, Rego Park 3. Kaitoke Welter: Manitau 1, Zeus 2, Monologue 3. Taputa Hack Welter: Firing Line 1, St. Elmn 2, Peacemaker 3.
