Dr. McLean,. bacteriologist, and Mr. Hurley,' photographer,■••■of the Maiwson expedition, have returned'to Sydney. Dr. McLean added a few details to what has alreav been made known. He said the was a long one, and not for,him to tell. When Dr. MawsonV book came out; they' would read 'ihe whole' thing. Amongst other important discoveries were nests of Antra'ctic petrels, never before found,. and six ross seals, a very rare'species. While they were dredging many rare and new specimens were obtained. DR. MAWSON'S ENGAGEMENT , ANNOUNCED. (Received 10 .a.m.) ADELAIDE, This'.Day. The! Aurora (Dr. Mawson's vessel) returnsUp Hobart to await orders.' ■■ ■ Dr. Mawson shortly visits England in connection with the expedition.
