President Madero is now fortified with a strong detachment of regular troops in the National Palace, while General Felix Dia&, with a large majority of regulars, has virtual control of the capital. The ariny revolted to-night, taking possession of the public buildings. The President fled to the Palace, which he succeded in defending from the revolutionists assaults. President Madero, relying upon his loyalty, General Banquet has been summond from Touca with 1000 soldiers. The attack on the city started this morning, when General Mondragon and the students at the Military School led the rebels to the prison, freeing Felix Diaz, a nephew of the deposed President, and General Bernado Reyes, the former Secretary for War. The advancing rebels were met .by President Madero, commanding 1000 police and cadets. The artillery barracks were captured after a Sanguinary battle, the Plaz being'strewed. with the bodies of men and horses. Two hundred were killed.

The engagement- was followed by the surrender of the regular artillery troop, and the rebellion of the majority of the Government soldiers. General Reyes was killed.
