A cadet who was sentenced _ to a month's imprisonnrent for refusing to swear allegiance to the King pleaded that, ■the Defence Act contained many provisions wherewith he dis-aigreed. He. mightbe ordered out in the event of a. civil strife, and he could not conscientiously take the oath.
